FAQs
What are UCWS sun shades made of?
Our sunshades are made from a multi-layer reflective and insulating material. The outer layer repels sunlight, while the inner layers provide insulation. All shades have either a stylish black or reflective grey finish.
How well-fitted are Ultimate Car Window Shades?
Our custom car sunshades are templated and cut by hand in Australia for an excellent fit on each vehicle model's windows. This provides maximum coverage and effectively blocks a significant amount of damaging heat and UV rays from entering your car. We understand that some vehicles have different mirror shapes, sensors, and reverse cameras. This is why we supply window shades with top cutouts to accommodate this.
How do I install my window shade?
Our sunshades have a simple suction cup system for easy installation and removal. First, clean your car window with isopropyl alcohol to ensure no dirt or grease will interfere with the suction cup. Hold the shade up to the car window while the car is parked and firmly press the suction cups onto the glass. For removal, it is best to unscrew the suction cup caps, remove the shade, and then individually lift each suction cup from the glass, starting on one side of the suction cup to break the seal against the glass. Do not pull the shades hoping that the suction cups will come off with them. The suction cups are very strong, and attempting to remove them this way may damage your shades.
How do I store my window shades when not in use?
All of our sunshades come with a convenient and compact nylon drawstring carry bag for easy and secure storage of your shades when not in use. Simply remove all suction cups from the shades, and the shades can then be rolled up and placed inside the bag.
Can window shades be used on tinted windows?
Yes, you can use window shades on tinted glass. Window tint offers basic protection, but car sun shades add an extra layer of UV protection, total blockout, glare reduction, and privacy.
Can I keep my window shades installed while driving?
UCWS shades are designed primarily for rear and rear-side window applications. Different regions have different visibility and tinting regulations, so customers should ensure their chosen installation complies with the requirements in their state or territory. Front windscreen and front-side window products may be subject to additional visibility rules depending on local laws. UCWS accepts no liability for improper or unlawful use of the product.
